Ariel smiled brightly. "I can imagine!" she chuckled and tilted her head. "What school?"

Howl smiled down at Rapunzel and rubbed her arm.

Ariel nodded her head. "That certainly sounds best . . ."

Howl nodded his head as well. "I'm having Calcifer add an extra portal to the castle so we can easily get to the school, too, just in case there's an emergency."

*Rapunzel nods before turning to Howl, smiling* What a wonderful idea!! *she grins brightly* Can I pick 'em, Ari, or what?? *she giggles, nudging Howl*

Ariel chuckled and smiled.   "You sure can XD"

Howl smiled a little sheepishly and kissed the top of Rapunzel's head.

Ariel chuckled and rolled her eyes. "I didn't approval of Howl at all back then. No offense, Howl," she added quickly.

Howl shook his head. "None taken XD"

Ariel chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Because I thought he was a misogynistic jerk who only wanted to get into your skirt. XD"

Howl scratched the top of his head. "To be fair, that was a fairly accurate description of me back then."

*Rapunzel pouts and shakes her head* He didn't want to get into MY skirt, I'm sure!! Right?? ;3; *she then thinks* Then again...he did have a crush on Sora's wife, Nausicaa, didn't he...? *she looks to Howl and sighs* I don't think he was interested in me at all then...

Howl blinked in surprise. "Nausicaa?" he scratched behind his head. "I flirted with her a bit, yes, but I don't know if I'd go as far to say I had a crush on her . . . " he chuckled a bit sheepishly as he looked at Rapunzel. "Rapunzel, I most certainly was interested in you back then. That is to say, I was interested in every pretty, available girl I met back then," his eyes softened. "I guess it took me a while to realize how wonderful you were . . ."

*Rapunzel looks down, rubbing her head* So...I was just like every other girl...?

Howl exhaled. "Rapunzel, please, don't try and analyze what I may have thought of you back then. I was a very different man, and not a very respectable or trustworthy one, either."

*Rapunzel looks down, not saying anything; she soon gives a small shrug and walks off*

Howl exhaled. "Rapunzel . . ."

*Rapunzel ignores Howl and continues walking off, going to Hodari and rocking him as she saw he was falling asleep*

Howl sighed and walked up to her, smiling a bit down at Hodari before turning to Rapunzel. "Rapunzel . . . I had no heart back then. And then when I first got it back . . . I was still remembering how to use it," he said gently. "Please, don't think less of yourself for a heartless man's feelings."

*Rapunzel purses her lips before gently putting Hodari down on a few pillows as she set a blanket over him; she stands and spins to Howl, looking at him with a frown and light tears in her eyes* I don't think less of myself! What upsets me, is that you act like NONE of that happened! I wasn't there! And I don't MIND hearing about it! But it seems that YOU never want to! You always avoid it, thinking I'll become mad, or upset or any negative emotion! Why can't you just see that I'd be FINE with talking about it?? I WANT to hear about all the things that went on when I was on leave for being pregnant! It hurts me to know that lots of things happened that I am still IN THE DARK about because people were trying to spare my feelings! *she trembles angrily and turns away from him again, going to a window as she shakes her head* .......

Howl blinked in surprise and then looked down in slight shame. He exhaled then walked over to the window where Rapunzel was.

" . . . I'm sorry. I don't mean to make you feel like I'm trying to keep you in the dark," he exhaled as he ran a hand through his hair. "I suppose . . . I don't speak of it out of shame for what I was like, not because there's things I wish to keep you ignorant of."

*Rapunzel turns to him, still having a bit of a frown* But it was who you WERE. And seeing that you're a better man than that now, it shouldn't be something that still haunts you.

Howl looked away slightly, his eyes a bit darker. "But it does. I was selfish back then, I . . . I hurt people, Rapunzel. Not mortally, but still . . ."

*Rapunzel exhales* But you're SORRY for that! So stop feeling so guilty!

Howl exhaled and ran a hand through his hair.  "I'll try . . ."
