Kiki giggled and snuggled Mowgli. "I'm glad! ^^" she looked up and smiled. "Hi Punz! Hi Uncle Howl!"

Howl chuckled and smiled. "Hello Ki - ah!" Howl cried out in pain, letting go of Rapunzel and falling down the stairs, clutching at his chest.

Howl's eyes opened as he looked up at Rapunzel. However, his eyes were completely black.

Calcifer's eyes widened. "Something's trying to control his heart . . . !"

The woman laughed. "He let go of his fire demon! It took a while for the ties to truly sever, but now that young Calcifer here has no hold over Howl's heart . . . " she slowly grinned and then stomped her staff on the floor, a gust throwing Rapunzel away from Howl, a ring of dark fire surrounding the woman and Howl.
