Seeing everyone around you either plot your demise or grow old and wither and die. That could drive even the best of people mad, if they had to put up with it long enough. That's why I became Gaia. I couldn't let that happen to the man I loved," her eyes saddened. "Even if that meant giving up the possibility of having a normal life . . ."

Kiki nodded. "O.O Yeah!!"

Howl smiled and hugged her. "And I don't want to make you cry," he stroked her hair.
